The EHF Master Plan, introduced in early 2020, prioritises seven different core areas that combine to contribute to the development of handball across Europe and sees the allocation of resources and support from the EHF for national federations following an application process. While the seven pillars that form the totality of the Master Plan include varied elements from good governance and highlight events to fan appeal and commercial success, grassroots growth and specifically children’s handball has emerged as one of the most important for several federations applying for their own Master Plan projects.

Georgia are among those nations that are specifically focused on the development of children’s handball. With the agreement between the Georgian Handball Federation and the EHF having come into force in May 2022, significant steps have been taken so far.
