Key responsibilities
Event technology and live events: plan, prepare and deliver events, conferences, workshops, courses, and seminars; operate the EHF’s in-house venue for up to 150 participants, equipped with a 12 × 4 metre LED wall and professional audio, video, lighting, camera, and presentation technology; provide technical direction, media playback, microphone and sound operation, DMX lighting, recording and support for presenters and participants. Approximately 20 events take place in the venue each year.
Congresses and international events: develop and implement technical concepts for approximately five to ten multi-day events per year, typically involving 100 to 200 participants; plan equipment; set up, operate, and dismantle event technology; coordinate external suppliers; operate professional audio, video, camera, presentation, conference, and digital voting systems; troubleshoot live and complete technical follow-up. Events include the EHF Congress, Conferences of Secretaries General, scientific conferences, Grassroots Conventions, the Women’s Handball Conference, and the Goalkeeper Summit.
Livestreaming and draw events: prepare and deliver more than 30 productions per year; set up and configure camera, audio, and streaming equipment; manage graphics and video playback, streaming control-room operation, encoding, signal distribution, monitoring, recording and technical follow-up.
Media production and recording: produce and record podcasts and other audio/video formats; technically support multi-day Master Coach courses, including practical training sessions in sports halls and seminar sessions; set up and operate the required camera, audio and recording systems.
IT and meeting support: provide client support for employees with hardware and software issues; operate and support meeting and conference rooms, digital whiteboards, and video-conferencing systems; assist with internal and external meetings; perform fault analysis and general operational IT tasks.
Equipment management, logistics and maintenance: manage, store and prepare technical equipment; handle transport and event logistics; carry out functional checks, maintenance and minor repairs; document technical setups and systems; continuously improve the technical infrastructure.
Technical environment
Our technical environment includes, among others:
Digital audio mixing consoles and professional microphone, audio, conference, and discussion systems.
Analog Way Aquilon, multilayer video/graphics systems, Roland video switchers, professional video cameras and PTZ cameras.
vMix, QLab, OBS, streaming encoders, Stream Decks and Companion.
DMX-based lighting control, LED walls, displays, digital voting, recording, video conferencing and meeting-room technology.
We do not expect applicants to already be experts in every system listed. Strong technical understanding, curiosity, willingness to learn and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new technologies are more important to us.
Your profile
Professional experience and qualifications
Technical education or relevant practical experience in IT, event technology, audio/video technology, media technology, broadcast, or a comparable field.
Experience with professional audio, video, streaming or event technology; experience in IT or client support is an advantage.
Basic understanding of networking and IT systems.
Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory; German language skills are an advantage.
A valid category B driving licence is mandatory.
Willingness to travel for approximately five to 10 events per year and to work outside regular office hours when required for events.

Strong hands-on mentality, technical curiosity, and willingness to learn.
Ability to remain calm, structured, and solution-oriented in stressful live-event situations.
Strong service orientation, teamwork and communication skills when working with colleagues, guests, presenters, and external service providers.
Independent, responsible, and accurate working style; strong organisational skills and flexibility when requirements change at short notice.
Practical technical and manual skills are an advantage; enjoyment of physically setting up, wiring, testing, and operating technical systems.
Enthusiasm for sport and interest in the international handball environment.

A gross annual salary starting at €42,000 on a full-time basis. Depending on education, qualifications, relevant professional experience and existing technical expertise, the EHF is expressly prepared to offer a higher salary.
