Your visit to the arena
The following overview aims at answering the majority of FAQs for fans visiting the Men's EHF EURO 2022 in Hungary and Slovakia. Wherever the conditions outlined only apply to one of the two host countries this is highlighted.
For EHF EURO matches in both countries, in addition to vaccination certificates, fans also need to bring valid ID or passport.
For EHF EURO matches in Hungary, there are currently no limitations for spectator attendance provided that fans are in possession - on top of their valid tickets - of a valid immunity certificate that shows they are either recovered or vaccinated. If they are neither vaccinated nor recovered, they have to be in possession of a valid negative PCR test certificate which is not older than 72 hours.
Furthermore, every spectator older than the age of six is obliged to wear a mask which covers nose and mouth at all times.

It is mandatory that all spectators must wear an FFP2 mask inside the arena and will be given one on entry.
For EHF EURO matches in Slovakia a maximum arena capacity of 25 per cent applies. Every fan wishing to attend the matches in Bratislava and Kosice must be either vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19. Recovered but not vaccinated people can enter Slovakian arenas within 180 days of recovery from Covid-19. Sufficient proof must be provided upon entry.
The status of being either vaccinated or recovered applies for every spectator older than 12 years and 2 months. Wearing an FFP2 mask is mandatory for everyone. No additional PCR or anti-gen tests are mandatory.
Tickets grant supporters access to the arena but within the given sector there will be free seating. For safety reasons, only every second seat row will be in use in Bratislava and Kosice.
How do I enter the arena?
In Hungary, the proof of immunity or a Hungarian or English language document confirming a negative PCR-test result no more than 72 hours old must be presented at the designated Covid checkpoint. (The Hungarian health application, EESZT, is also accepted at the checkpoint. Upon presentation of a valid ticket, all supporters will receive a wristband for entry to the event (see below the info for wristband collection points).
In Slovakia, the proof of vaccination or recovery from Covid-19 must be presented upon entry to the arena.
Where can I collect my wristband?
At the wristband collection points which will be available at the following locations and at the times indicated (please note that the wristband collection only applies to Hungary):

- 1091 Budapest, Üllői steet 129.
- Opening hours: between 11 and 30 January 2022, from 7:00 to 20:30.
DEBRECEN
- Imre Hódos Sports Hall, parking lot
- 4028 Debrecen, Kassai street 32-34.
- Opening hours: 11 to 17 January 2022, 7:00 to 20:30.
SZEGED

In case of a family ticket, all family members must be present at the venue. Wristbands cannot be taken over by power of attorney.
As there is a huge interest in the matches, all fans are kindly requested to arrive on time. It is advisable to collect the wristbands the day before the match to avoid interruptions.
What happens if my wristband is damaged?
A damaged wristband can be replaced at any wristband point upon presentation of the damaged wristband and a valid ticket.
Is my ticket valid only if printed or can it be presented electronically on a mobile phone?
Tickets redeemed for the Men's EHF EURO 2022 can also be presented on paper and on a working mobile phone with an undamaged display, provided the barcode is legible and valid for the entry system and there are no barriers to entry.
What rules apply to persons under the age of 18?
For Hungary, persons over 12 years of age are required to provide proof of immunity against the coronavirus, or must show a negative PCR test not older 72 hours. Children under the age of 12 may attend the event under the supervision of a person over 18 years of age who has provided proof of immunity against the coronavirus. Not more than ten persons under the age of 12 may be under the supervision of a person over the age of 18.
For Slovakia, the status of being either vaccinated or recovered applies for every spectator older than 12 years and 2 months.
Do I have to wear a mask during the event?
In Hungary, all spectators, with the exception of those under 6 years of age and persons with intellectual or psychosocial disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, are required to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth while on the event premises. Wearing an FFP2 mask is mandatory.
In Slovakia wearing an FFP2 mask is mandatory for everyone.
Will there be a Fan Zone?
On every match day in Budapest handball fans will be treated with catering service, activities, quizzes and joint match viewing in the Fan Zone next to the MVM Dome.
Access to the Fan Zone is possible with a valid ticket for the Budapet matches.

When should I not go to the match?
We ask for your understanding and cooperation: if you have any symptoms of illness, fever or are not feeling well, please do not go to the EHF EURO 2022 venues for the safety of everyone involved.
Can I park next to the MVM Dome in Budapest?
Public parking is not available, so please use public transport to access the arenas.
What is the easiest way to get to the MVM Dome by public transport?
The easiest way for fans to get to the arena in Budapest is to take tram 1 and metro 3 to the Népliget metro station.
(Due to the renovation of metro line 3, there are replacement buses between Lehel tér and Nagyvárad tér, one stop from Nagyvárad tér, or you can walk to the arena in a few minutes. The metro runs from Kőbánya-Kispest station to Nagyvárad tér.)
The arena can also be reached from Ecseri street by trams 3, 37 and 69 and the metro line 3 from Ecseri út metro station.
From Liszt Ferenc International Airport, you can take the bus 200E directly to the MVM Dome, to the Népliget metro station.
How do I get to the PICK Arena in Szeged?
The arena can be reached by public transport, using trolleybus lines 9 and 19, which run more frequently during the EHF EURO 2022. From Szeged railway station, take tram No 1 to Széchenyi square, where you can change to trolleybus No 9 or 19. It is recommended that you arrive at least one hour before the matches!
How do I get to the Főnix Arena in Debrecen?
From Debrecen railway station (Nagyállomás) you can get to the arena by trolleybus 5 and 5/A, while from the interurban bus station you can get to the arena by trolleybus 3 and 3/A. From Debrecen Airport, you can take the airport bus to the railway station.
Can I still buy tickets on the spot?
